May's 'I Believe'

...I'm a danger to myself when I'm left alone with my thoughts too long. Without interruptions or intervention. Yet,strangely, they are therapeutic.

...wine was invented to make it possible to overlook a daughter's bitchiness. Two adult daughters and their bitchiness directed at the 'mom target' emotions? That calls for the big guns, Gray Goose and diet coke with a bag of cheese pleasers. An entire one. Ha! I. Will. Win...?

...bullshit is a state of perpetual bliss for some people. I don't get the attraction?

...nothing on earth is worth trading in ones values for. Sometimes I think I stand with a very small crowd on that.

...those stupid little moles owe me a new section of lawn. Can I target practice in town? Someone check the bylaw and get back to me asap. Please and thanks.

...old Bin didn't quite make the Pearly Gates.

...Mother's Day should be a week long. Not just a measly day. I'm deserving even if my daughters laughed when I made the suggestion. ;-)

...I need an old fashioned telephone. The kind I can actually cradle on my shoulder. The sleek new models these days just slide right off to the floor, to the soup pot, to the dishwater, to the...

...I have a stalker on my blog.Anyone have any Prep H for my hemorrhoid suggestions? Um,other than my stalker that is..?

March's 'I believe'

...iPhone 4 is for play. Blackberry is for business. I like play.

...some extended family members were adopted. I secretly believe they are related to Bubbles.

...somedays I do the equivalent of banging my head against the wall.

...I need a caffeine I.V. For some oddball reason, my first cuppa coffee keeps evaporating.

...comeuppance is a word I really like, especially in action. :-)

...with some people, they are not looking for answers, they are looking for a place to lay blame. Sorry, wrong house Sunshine.

...when spring has finally sprung, I'll set my lawn chair on top of my 50' snowbank and raise a glass to the death of Ol' Man Winter. You were a mean bastard this year, you miserable prick.

...we're going to set up to go tent camping this year. Hubby best figure out a way to sweeten the pot if I have to rough it again. ( Like heaters and cots and in-tent room service)

...if I could stay up past friggen 9:30 pm, I'd watch the 15 or so movies I have waiting for me on my computer.

...I've read more books in the last 3 months I've had a Kobo than I have in 3 years. Like it says: Anywhere, Anytime.

...I better start car shopping soon. A promise is a promise. I hand over my Jeep to my eldest when she passes her driver's test. Which should be in a couple of weeks.

What do you believe my bloggy pals?

December's 'I believe'

I Believe

... scales are evil and possessed. Why else would it be calling out my name, taunting me?

...If I'm going to enjoy any part of this wretched winter, I'm going to have to gear up for living in the frozen North. It's hard to make boots, hats, mitts and coats looks sleek when you're bundled up like a three year old.

...things unfold as they must.. for the first time in 23 years hubby and I will wake up Christmas morning alone. Bailey's and coffee first order of the day. :-)

...Brioche baking is not for the faint of heart. Nor is the calories associated with it.But really yummy.

...Flannel sheets, peeps, it's the way to go. In Canada. In winter. In this freezing province.

...I'm DONE my Christmas shopping. Boo Yah!  Christmas shopping drives me to drink.

...I'm looking forward to next year. I need a break from this one, it's been tough on several fronts. But... it was what it was supposed to be I guess.

...Zumba's going to be interesting to take. Attended a free class and it's um... different.

...I need to get up and get my day started. But I really don't want to, I'm sooo comfy right here, right now. sigh.

...I'm using spell check more and more as I age. This fact sucks.

...Paperwork is an aggravating waste of my quiet time.

...my town needs a kicked up bookstore cafe. I need to win the lotto.

...my dental hygienist is going to start hunting me down soon, can't seem to find the time to get there. Ugh typing that out makes me want to go brush my teeth I just brushed.

...I'm going to go for an iPhone 4 over a Blackberry Torch. GULP. I'm used to my crackberry.

...if I don't get rid of this cold soon, I'm going to hack up one of my lungs. On the bright side, excellent ab workout!

...I have to start wracking my brain to think of a kickass Xmas prezzy for my hubby. Hardest person to buy for. EVER. GULP.

...I would like to win the lotto. Did I mention that already? ;-)

...I'm getting withdrawals from my camera.Bad. :-(

...the Micky D's McRib commercials are gross.

October's I Believe

...serrano prosciutto is king.

...I'm in a New York state of mind. Too bad my wallet's not.

...in home cooking, with wine. But not in the food. Well.. at least not much.

...'JJ' leaving Criminal Minds sucks.

...despite my best intentions, I still managed to trip up.

...speaking of tripping up.. perfection is highly overrated.

...some adults use the word 'Epic' wayyy to much.

...I know the difference between perception and fact. Facts are indisputable, perceptions are open to interpretation. In this case, fact is I'm right, you're wrong. ;-)

...in Montreal Style bagels. Period.

...shopping is sweeter when you pay only 5% tax. 15% in other provinces just blows. ugh

...hubby and I will never reach an agreement as to what vehicle I will drive next.

...it's frustrating how Post It notes don't do it for me anymore. I apparently need loud audio sounds from my blackberry calendar to remind me of everything some things.

...my odometer will be slightly higher when I get back home after 12 days away. Daughter's had the keys.

September's I Believe!

...having a drink a day keeps the men in white coats away. Seriously.

...some weeks I struggle for words, my bloggy friends, so I let my pictures do the talking.

...creativity isn't readily there, it needs to be nurtured and fed. Hmm much like.. me. Feed me?

...the saying holds true that patience needs to be worked on, let me tell you I've been working like a madwoman lately.. ;-)

...in my horoscope.. at times. Some days it's eerily bang on.

...Dragon, Toopy and Binoo should all be cast out to some remote inaccessible island somewhere with NO hope of rescue.

...or rather I can't believe it's been 40 years since Jimmy Hendrix died. Geezus, where in frack does the  time go??!

...the bagel gods are mad at me. Otherwise the stupid thing wouldn't land peanut buttered side down.

...I'm due to go back to school. I'm bored or rather my mind is lazy...or maybe I'm lazy and my mind is hazy.. or just crazy?  The Cat in the Hat's got nothing on me, I'm all over the rhyming tree. Bahahaha

8th Edition of I Believe!

I Believe

... I should be allowed to speak my mind. If you can do it at will without thought to consequence then I can do it as well. Only I take the golden rule of waiting 10 minutes,a day or a week to mull it over.

...I will have a micro chip inserted into my hubby so when runs away wanders off in a store, I will locate him with my Husband GPS locater. Arguments  Problem solved.

...if you schedule me for surgery 4 bloody hours after I'm supposed to eat, you can put up with my nasty disposition. Should of let me eat something, you weren't knocking me out.

...the definition of pain is feeling like you've been kicked in the nether regions.. with steel toed boots. ugh

...happiness, besides a TBR pile, is three or four magazines stacked, waiting to be read.

...tonight calls for a fire in my outdoor fireplace. Complete with an unread magazine and a steaming hot cuppa java. That, my bloggy friends, is called relaxation.

...in things coming back up and biting you in the ass. And I know a few who are oh so deserving. I'll bide my time, I've got patience. I'll enjoy it when that moment comes. :-)

...in the healing power of a punching bag. Nothing like hitting something good and solid when the need arises, ya?

...I take great enjoyment in playing 'Mummy' to my adult daughters when they need it. And I'll never stop being Momma Bear or G-Ma Bear. xxoo

I believe

...the older I get, the less I keep. Like cleaning house in the spring, haul it all out, if you haven't used it in six months chuck it, give it to Goodwill or leave it on the curb. There are people who cruise the neighbourhoods and 'shop'.It's a win win, ya?

...I'm going to set a booby trap for the meter reader. What part of not walking on new sod didn't she get through that little head of hers? Didn't she feel the ground sink as she walked across my new grass? ARG

...the lady that lives across from me is a gossip talker and I'm steering clear. No thanks.

...once I cut my new lawn, those fugly little mushrooms won't be back. Better not. What gives?

...I just might start building that deck myself. The wood's sitting there and I want to enjoy my outdoor fireplace before summer's over. Now... do you screw this things in or use a hammer?

...I'm going to leave the blinds closed till that big ugly black fly's dead, screw the sunshine.

...one of my greatest creature comforts is my TBR pile.

...in packing at the last minute. Bah.. what's the panic?

...in the solitude of the library but does it have to be so cold in there all the time?

...we've traded weather patterns with the West coast.  Which would be fantastic if I was a duck. Ugh.

...spring was a write off, summer's looking that way. Autumn best NOT be.

...in the restorative power of a haircut, new hair product and 3 hours talking with a kickass human being.

...we all have our inner bitch. Sadly most of us don't know how to use it to full potential.

...leaving the fridge and freezer door ajar for a period of time ( WTF happened there?) isn't good for the appliance. Oopsy?

...in never leaving home without my sunglasses, it's all about people watching without getting caught.

...stepping on an ant hill scars you for life. shudder

...women hold the power. It's how you choose to use it that delivers the most punch.

...Spanish women are beautiful. Period.

...the core of who we are doesn't change. Be it good , bad or ugly. It comes out sooner or later, through actions, words or reactions.

... it's time my day starts, the dogs are looking at me with long faces. sigh.

I Believe!

...if you have a bad ass tat on your forearm for all to see, it loses it's punch when you are hanging it out from the driver's side of a mini van. Ya man, you bad you bad.

...some things look better in theory than actuality, why is that? If you can see it clearly in your head, why doesn't it work in the here and now?

...Mothers who smoke in their vehicles with kids should be charged with negligence, reckless endangerment and failure to provide for the safety and well-being of a child. Not cool.

...when I comment on a picture of much slimmer I was some years ago and hubby responds, ' and YOUNGER '  the man has a death wish.

...in stepping outside the box. Hmmmm let's rephrase that, I believe in stepping outside the parameters of MY comfort zone. It's been a while and I have to admit it's a rush, no matter the outcome.

...Mothers should be honored over the span of a week, not just one day. But hey, that's just my personal belief. ;-)

...if I slept a decent night's sleep, I would resemble a human more. Well I'd be nicer anyhow. Ugh.

...in wine. Red or White. I'm not fussy. :-)

...one should practice humility, or at least give it the old college try.

...in holding a secret, I think more people should.

...the farmers are just frikken ducky happy now, so enough ya?

...I'd like to be able to draw in my next life. I'd dive bomb at Pictionary.

...my generation is known as workhorses ( definition #2 ) ,  my hands are testimony. Sniff

...I'll have the worse nightmares ever when my Nightmare Slayer is out of town working.

...little white dogs have no business being outside during the Spring thaw. Yuck.

...when you've reached the point of no return, you just as well to keep going. Screw it. ;-)

...the weatherman neglected to let us know the windchill factor. Nasty sense of humor.

...fifth graders are smarter.

...The one and ONLY downside to being slimmer is always being cold.

...there's a two tier justice system here. Jaffer proved it without a shadow of a doubt.

...in and have used the saying, 'Ya burn your ass, ya sit on the blister.'

...I'm going to go have a massage soon.

...in cheese

...what goes around comes around

...beauty is in the eye of the beholder. However, I think some of the Beholders might be visually impaired.
